Mike and his team were great to work with. We hired them to do a large cutout in a supporting wall for us. While we hit some snags through the process and it took longer than anticipated, the finished product is beautiful, and everything was done thoroughly. Price wise, MDS is very reasonable, Mike and team are very easy to work with, and they have a great eye for design. When we were unsure of a design decision, they gave great input. When our roof needed re-shingling we did some internet research on quality of shingles and brands that were manufactured in Canada and got estimates from 3 local roofing companies. The office gave us heads-up telephone calls advising us when workmen would arrive at our home, and shingling was done in stages so that the roof could be “buttoned-up" before any thunderstorms. We needed our porch repaired and also some interlocking fixed that had started to sag. As both of these had been done many years ago by a different company. When Cam came to do the quote he explained exactly how the repairs would be done and provided a written estimate. Once the work was started the work needed to fix the front porch was more than expected and took more time than quoted, but Cam didn't try to charge more. We had Joe Bodnar do three projects at our house. First a large renovation doing a finished basement. The workmanship was outstanding, whether it was the framing, drywall, taping, sanding, and painting. Price was very good too, and Joe worked seamlessly with all trades. The finished basement looks excellent! We then had him do a full fence replacement (picture shown) and tiling in our kitchen (picture shown). We intend to use him for some work at our cottage too! I had Space Converters update my 20+ years old finished basement. I knew what I wanted done and when I wasn't sure about something suggestions were made. Brian Bien came quickly to give me a quote which was stuck to. The job was supposed to take two weeks but the contractors were so efficient, they finished in one week.
