However, the lines can be long bc sometimes only one cashier is working but the BIG disappointment was the taste of savarine! I think they use a different recipe but that is not the taste of the traditional Romanian sweet. There is no syrup and the whipped cream is artificial, it’s only sugar. The taste is disgusting! Have been going to Toronto for something like 5 years and usually eat here at least twice a trip. Food is very reasonable considering comparables, i.e. a famous hot dog place that also does corned beef/pastrami and where a lunch of a sandwich, very small (albeit yummy) potato salad and a large drink cost over $20 w/tax/tip. We go here, have my sandwich and drink, my girl has a pizza or a whatever and a Caesar. That usually runs $31-33 with tax/tip. When ordering from the delightful desert stand, it pushes your bill a considerable amount but is well worth the price! We have always found the staff extremely friendly and service to be excellent, even when the restaurant is incredibly busy. Read more

My wife had the Lumberjack & she loved it. The food is amazing, The staff's are very friendly, The place is clean. Even the restaurant was packed our food came on time. Lumberjack 3eggs,bacon(perfectlly cooked),sasage,homefries(the best),pancakes,fruit,toast for $9.95(good deal). My skillet was 8.95 . (not a lot of breakfast joints have skillet omelette). I would recomend this place to anyone.. The quality of the food to price.. You won't find it anywhere in Toronto. Even our next table was saying the samething about the food. His son, the waiter, is pleasnat enough, not friendly at all but I think that's just the way he is. Anna, the wife is super nice and always talks about her grandkids in Greece and shows us pictues. My favourite breakfast is the cheese omletter and their club sandwich is excellent. They also have very good fish and chips. They used to stay open later on Friday nights to serve it, but don't any mor. Too bad. The only problem is that Deb doesn't work there any more. She was the best waitress and resposible for a lot of people coming in. She was friendly and seemed to know everybody. I miss he working there. In conclusion, good local place to eat for cheap.
