Went there with 2 friends, the host at the front door was great, smile held the door, sat us withen 4 min there was a small wait but it was dinner time. Some big over weight lady was kinda rude to the server tho, people that are in a bad mood should stay home, stop trying to dump on others. Go on a diet. Had not read reviews for this location. Stopped in on a whim and it was very good service and food was above average. Restaurant had just us and another single customer, who was happy with service also. Server explained that previous staff were a disaster. Got rid of them because they were cause of bad reviews! I'm not sure what restaurantica12 problem is with this restaurant. Me and my husband comes here about once a month and it's fantastic, except simetimes when he gets the full rack of ribs one of them isn't the greatest. And honestly it's the best meal for your buck. Will recommended it to anybody who isn't fussy on where they eat just what they eat. Good home cooked meals. Yummy yummy!

We spend out summers at Bobcaygeon and visit Cody's with friends and family as often as possible. Wish there was chinese food 1/2 as good available in Burlington where we spend the winter. Their Lemon Chicken is to die for and we also all love the Shrimp and Peaches. The servings are so generous we always have lots to take home and enjoy the next day.

what can i say,,we absolutely love judy's place..we visit regularly and know the staff by first name. The staff are super nice and never have a problem substituting orders for my kids. The owner and cook always brings out a complimentary bowl of chocolate chip cookies for my kids everytime we eat there. the food is fantastic and the prices are great! as for decor, iv seen some other somewhat negative remarks in regards to it , but even tho its clearly not done by a interior designer, its comfortable and bright. You gotta love when you can go into a place and say i'll have the usual and the waitress knows exactly what and how you like it prepared. i definately recommend eating at judy's. Great food and Quick and friendly service:)

Yep, its really that great!
This is one of those staples in Lindsay, right on the main street, kinda small and understated; but once you've eaten here you will always come back.
Jane's menu is simple, and enjoyable. Everything is always great, service included. They are very accommodating, and fairly priced. Others have complained about the decor, but I think it adds to the "Kountry Kitchen" charm.

Wonderful experience. Atmosphere is beautiful, good food, staff is always so friendly. Good deal when they have the early bird special. Went in October. The man that served my family had a darker complexion, very friendly and charismatic! Had a unique name that I wish I could remember. He joked around with us and gave my brother a free dessert for his birthday. Absolutely want to go back and have him serve us again... he was honestly the best waiter Ive ever had.

I am confused by the "American" designation, since it is clearly German, right down to the delicious spaetzle and red cabbage. (You can only get the red cabbage if you ask, it isn't on the menu.)
The schnitzels are very good, with ample portions. (We have never tried the homemade desserts -- too full!) The meat is tender and set off well by the fine breading. My husband has tried every schnitzel on the menu, and has a hard time declaring a favourite - he enjoys them all.
The coffee is very good, the warm bun that comes prior to the meal is a nice treat. The service is usually very pleasant. A little more than a standard lunch in terms of cost, but worth it.

It reminded me of Sunday dinners at Grandma's house.........dessert was also fabulous and fresh-made. Being a Vegan for only 10 months I find it almost impossible to eat anywhere! We went to the Old Newcastle House and I was advised to try the veggie stir-fry. I have to admit I was hesitant, it was fabulous!!! I love to cook so therefore find it hard to find food I can say I love in most places!!! The company I was with also really enjoyed their food a lot! I have to say being OCD I always tend to look at the surroundings and this place is a little gem it is extremely clean ( which I love ) and beautifully decorated. This is our second visit and I look forward to many more !!!
