An out of the way little house that looks like a local take out pizza joint. Walk in and there are a few tables. Sit down and order and get some of the best Italian food I have had in Ottawa. Ask what the special is, you never know. We stared wit a sausage appetizer that is to die for, flavorful and spiced just right. There were 6 of us so we all ordered different things and tried each others. There was not a loser in the bunch. Skip the insalata, it is just greens on a plate. The veal picatta was outstanding and the pastas were great. Get the house wine, the night we were there it was a very good valpolicella. We all ordered different items off the menu and I think the staff thought we were crazy because we were trying each other's food, but I have everything was so tasty! The vegetarian main had many different elements to it and all were delicious, the mushroom tarte, steak frites and soup were great. Our waiter was very friendly and overall I would say the atmosphere is inviting. I consider this restaurant a little bit pricey, but perfect for a special occasion and worth the money. Read more
