Our Optometrists
Lisa Tay
After graduating from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree received with High Distinction, Dr. Lisa Tay continued her studies at the University of Waterloo, where she completed her Doctor of Optometry degree with Dean's Honours. Dr. Tay's special interest in myopia control was inspired by her personal experience with complicated vision challenges since childhood and the specialist treatment she received. She deeply understands the value of dedicated and comprehensive vision health care and is committed to providing that for all of her patients. Dr. Tay has also brought this commitment to her work with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), which has included providing eye care to Indigenous children in Manitoulin Island, Ontario. When she is not in the clinic, she enjoys running by the lakeshore, trying out new coffee shops, hike trails and recipes, spending time with loved ones, and collecting house plants.
Monika Osiecka
Dr. Monika Osiecka received her Honours BSc in Neuroscience from the University of Toronto and her Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. During her studies, Dr. Osiecka held a place in the International Optometric Honours Society BSK for high academic achievement and also travelled to the Dominican Republic on a VOSH service trip. Dr. Osiecka has received training in ocular health and disease, therapeutics, contact lenses, pediatrics and refractive surgery co-management at several clinics throughout the United States, including the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Portland, OR, The Dimock Center, Fenway Health Center and the New England Eye Clinic in Boston, MA. Her clinical interests include full-spectrum family vision care and she is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists and the Ontario Association of Optometrists. Dr. Osiecka is fluent in Polish and happy to welcome patients of all ages into the clinic. Outside of work, Dr. Osiecka can be found travelling and spending time with her husband, young son and dog.
